About the Department
The Department was established in the year 2020 with 30 Students intake for the B.Sc Psychology Program. The qualified and experienced faculty members and Laboratory Assistant is currently rendering their services to inculcate knowledge among students. Separate class rooms with Audio Visual Aids are available for effective teaching to students. A well furnished and highly equipped laboratory with latest and advanced Psychological tests and measurement tools are available for the benefit of students.

- To inculcate Ethical and Moral Values through the curriculum to bring out a holistic personality.
- To facilitate the budding professionals to meet future challenges in the field through various level of PDPs.

Eligibility
A pass in +2 (Academic / Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other examination accepted as Equivalent by the Syndicate of Bharathiar University.

- Association Inauguration and Guest Lecture on Topic of “Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention”
- Guest Lecture on the Topic of “Indian Legal System and Mental Health”
- Anti-Tobacco Awareness was conducted in College Campus and Nanjanapuram village.
- Our Department gathered to celebrate Onam Celebration.
- The department of psychology has inaugurated the department association in the name of “Tuning minds - Mental health matters”. And also conducted the guest lecture in accordance with World suicide prevention day in the theme of Creating Hope through Action.
- The Department of Psychology has organized “World Mental Health Day Guest lecture on "Importance of Mental Health”.
- One Day Workshop on “RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND STATISTICS” was conducted by Department of Psychology.
- A Guest lecture on “BOOSTING SELF-ESTEEM-NEVER FORGET YOUR WORTH” was conducted by Department of Psychology.
- State Level One Day Workshop On “ART THERAPY” was conducted by Department of Psychology.
- One day programme about women conducted on International women's day under the theme of Gender equality today for sustainable tomorrow 08.03.2021
- One day Observation and Orientation Visit was made to COIMBATORE CANCER FOUNDATION (CCF), 29.12.2021
- An online guest lecture webinar on Stress Management was given by Dr.S.Jeyabharathi, Assistant professor and Coordinator, Specialization in counselling and psychotherapy, 02.11.2021
- An online guest lecture webinar on Blooming Future In Psychology was given by Ms. Kayalvizhi, Counselling Psychologist, 09.10.2021
- An online guest lecture webinar on Stress Management was given by Dr. S.Jeyabharathi, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Specialization in Counselling and Psychotherapy, on 02.11.2021
