National Cadet Corps

  • The National Cadet Corps was established in the College in the year 1999 with the motto of Unity and Discipline. The NCC cadets are trained perfectly to impart leadership quality.
  • The Independence Day and the Republic day functions in the college will commence with the NCC parade. They play a significant role in maintaining discipline among the students during the functions conducted in the college.
  • The NCC students are motivated to participate in social activities like Tree Plantations, Blood donation etc.
  • The NCC cadets have attended National Camps like RDC, TSC, Moulanger (Firing Camp).

  • The International Yoga Day celebration was conducted by our National Cadet Corps on 21.06.2023 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. A total of 250 NCC cadets from various institutions under the 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode, participated in the event.
  • The Road Safety Awareness Programme was conducted by the Government of India on 28.07.2023 at the Municipality Marriage Hall, Erode. A total of 75 students and 3 faculty members from our college participated and gained awareness about road safety. The Regional Transport Officer, R. Siva Karthekeyan, and Captain A. R. Karthekeyan explained road safety measures, showcased a short video on road safety, and honored the winners of the quiz competition conducted by the Government of India.
  • An Anti-Tobacco Awareness Rally was conducted by the Department of Computer Science (UG) in association with NCC cadets on 11.08.2023. A total of 500 students participated in the rally, which started from Kongu Arts and Science College and proceeded to Mettukadai. The students distributed pamphlets to the public to create awareness about the hazards of tobacco. Dr. H. Vasudevan, the Principal, and Mr. P. Ramesh, the Head of the Department, were the chief guests.

  • The Kongu Arts NCC unit celebrated Independence Day at our college on 15.08.2022. Thiru P.D. Thangavel Avl, the Correspondent of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, and Thiru P.C. Palanisamy Avl of KVIT Trust hoisted the National Flag and distributed prizes to the medal winners.
  • The Ex-Army Rally was organized by our NCC unit in collaboration with the Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington, on 08.10.2023 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. A total of 500 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and widows from various districts participated and benefited from the event. The camp provided significant assistance in addressing the grievances of ex-army personnel and offering solutions. Raja Gopal Sunkara, the Erode District Collector, explained the Grievance Redressal Camp and resolved their grievances through this initiative.
  • The Flag Fund was collected by our NCC cadets from students and staff members on 12.12.2023 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. A total of Rs. 32,260/- was collected and handed over to the Collector's Office, Erode.
  • Fit India Freedom Run was conducted by our National Cadet Corps on 16.12.2023 from our College to Veppampalayam for creating awareness of fitness among the public and a total of 660 NCC Cadets and students from our college participated in the activity.
  • Our National Cadet Corps unit conducted a guest lecture for NCC cadets on "Gateway to Government Jobs through NCC" on 22.12.2023. Mr. M. Bharath, a UPSC trainer from Erode, was the chief guest. A total of 52 NCC cadets attended the guest lecture held on our college premises.
  • Anti Tobacco awareness rally was conducted by Department of Computer Science (UG) in association with NCC Cadets on 12.08.2022. Totally 500 students have participated in the rally. The rally started from Kongu Arts and Science College to Mettukadai. The Students distributed Pamphlets to the Public for creating awareness on hazardness of Tobacco. Dr.N.Raman, the Principal and Mr.P.Ramesh, the Head of Department were the chief guest.
  • Blood donation camp was conducted by our National Cadet Corps on 20.10.2022 at Government Hospital, Erode and totally 07 NCC Cadets and 01 Associate NCC Officers of our college were donating the blood donation camp.
  • National Cadet Corps Cadets has participated in Campus Cleaning activity at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode on every Tuesday at afternoon session. The objective of this Program is to create awareness among the students about cleaning environment to save soil and health measure to prevent from the spread of various diseases. 52 National Cadet Corps Cadets has actively participated in the cleaning process at the time plastic products were collected and disposed in eco-friendly manner.
  • In celebrating the birth anniversary of former Chief Mister of Tamil Nadu Dr.Kalaigner M. Karunanithi on 03.06.2022. National Cadet Corps Cadets has participated in Mass Cleaning Campaign at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode and in and around of Veppampalayam. 30 National Cadet Corps Cadets has actively participated in the programme. 4 kgs of plastic products were collected and disposed in eco friendly manner.
  • To commemorate "World Cycle Day" on 03.06.2022, In this connection, we have organized a Cycle rally from Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, to Government Hospital, Perundurai. Dr. V.Vedhagiri Eswaran, The Principal, KPT as a chief guest.The total number of cadets has participated 70 (SD – 52, SW – 15 and ANOs – 03), and after completing the Cycle Rally, speech was given by ANO about World Cycle day awareness. Totally we have covered 3 Kilometers.
  • To commemorate the Rally on "awareness on global warming" on 27.09.2022, in this connection, we have organized a rally from Kongu Arts and Science College to Mettukadai Bus stop. Dr.N.Raman, Principal of our College as chief guest. Totally 52 NCC Cadets and 01 Associate NCC officer has been participated after completing the Rally, pamphlets was distributed to the public's by our Cadets. Totally we have covered 2 Kilometers.
  • To commemorate the Rally on "Rain Day – Catch the Rain" on 29.07.2022, in this connection, we have organized a rally from Thindal to Parimala mahal, Erode. Thiru S.D.Chandrasekar, Secretary Vellalar Educational Trust and Dr.N.Sabitha The Principal-In Charge Vellalar College for women as chief guest. Totally 202 NCC Cadets and 07 Associate NCC officers from various institution has been participated after completing the Cycle Rally, speech was given by ANO about save the rain water. Totally we have covered 3 Kilometers.

  • FIT India Run 2.0 event was conducted on 29.09.2021 from KASC to Veppampalayam for creating awareness on Fitness among the public. 52 NCC Cadets and 48 Sport students of our college has been participated.
  • KASC NCC Unit was conducted a Cleaning activity on 02.10.2021 at our college premises and Veppampalayam village in account of Gandhi Jayati. 52 NCC Cadets of our college has been participated and they were collected 1.74 kg polythene waste.
  • Flag Code of India Pledge was taken at our College premises on 16.10.2021. 52 NCC Cadets and 02 PI Staff took part in the pledge for creating awareness on the prevention of Insult to National Honor Act 1971.
  • Our deepest condolences to Bipin Laxman Singh Rawat, Former Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces and his team who died in the helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on 10.12.2021. The Principal, Faculty members, NCC Cadets and Students took part in the event.
  • Our NCC Cadet Under Officer T V Kowshika has received Rs.10000 cash prize and FS Cap for her special achievement by Coimbatore Group NCC headquarters in the Felicitation ceremony of National Shooting Championship competition on 22.12.2021 She is honoured upon her remarkable achievements: Gold medal in Inter Group Competition, Minimum Qualifying score (MQS) in Inter Directorate Shooting Selection Competition (IDSSC) and All India G.V.Mavalankar Shooting competition (AIGVMSC) and Renowned score in 64th National Shooting Championship Competition (NSCC) conducted at Bhopal from 25/11/2021 to 10/12/2021. Coimbatore Group commander Col L.C.S.Naidu, 15(TN) BN NCC: Commanding officer Lt Col Anil Verma and Administrative Officer Lt Col MS Krishnamoorthy, the college Correspondent Thiru. K. Palanisamy, the Principal Dr. N. Raman, the NCC Officer Lt A.R.Karthikeyan, Head of the Department and other faculty members appreciated her efforts.
  • Combined Annual Training Camp IV Cum Directorate Shooting Selection camp was conducted at KASC from 09.05.2022 to 18.05.2022. Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Pondy, Madras A and Madras B Group cadets took part in the camp.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a webinar on "Yoga – the Elixir of Life" on 21.06.2020 with Mr. M. Dhandapany, Yoga Master and International Yoga Jury as the resource person. 294 members including cadets, students and staff from various places has registered for the webinar and got benefits. The e – certificate were distributed for the participants.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a tree plantation on 16.07.2020 for creating awareness on save the earth among the public of those who are all in their respective places. NCC Cadets have planted the saplings in and around their places. Totally they have planted 30 saplings in their respective places.
  • KASC NCC Cadets took online pledge about "Be Vocal About Local" through online. 45 cadets were took their pledge on 05.08.2020 and got their certificates.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a Seminar on health and hygiene on 06.12.2020. Lt. A.R.Karthekeyan, Associate NCC Officer, F2 Company, has taken the webinar for KASC NCC cadets and creates awareness on hygiene through online mode.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a National Level Webinar On "Plastic Waste Management – The Way Ahead" on 14.12.2020 (Monday 11.00 AM) through Zoom & YouTube Live Streaming. Dr.A.Manimekalan, Professor Department of Environmental Sciences, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India has participated and give a brief note on plastic waste management among the participants. 91 members have been actively attending the webinar through online mode.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Republic Day celebration on 26.01.2021 at our college premises with National flag hoisting. Thiru K. Palanisamy Avl the Correspondent of our college has hoisted the National Flag and distributed the prizes to the competition winner cadets.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted an Annual Training camp III for under sub units of 15 (TN) BN NCC Erode at our college premises from 21.02.2021 to 25.02.2021. 208 NCC cadets from various institutions has been participated and got the training for their certificate examinations.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Water Control Awareness rally at Erode on 09.07.2019 to create an awareness on water pollution among the public.Mr. S.Sakthi Ganesan IPS, Superintendent of Police, Erode, the Principal, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai and the Principal, AET School, Thindal has jointly inaugurated the awareness rally. 200 NCC cadets and 05 Associate NCC officers from various institution has been participated in the awareness rally and distributed the pamphlets.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a campus cleaning activity on every Tuesday at afternoon session to create awareness on clean India among the students on that time they have collecting the polythene covers in and around the our college campus.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a Plogging event from CN College, Erode to Erode bus stand on 07.12.2019. 400 NCC cadets, 10 Associate NCC officers of 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode from various institutions have been participated and we have cleaned in and around Erode.
  • KASC NCC unit was creating awareness on Hand wash day on 09.12.2019 at our college premises for NCC Cadets and students. We have explained among the cadets and students about awareness on hygienic. 52 NCC cadets, 50 students and staff of college have been participated in hand washing programme and washing their hands with soap.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a Plastic awareness rally on 12.12.2019 from CN College, Erode to Erode Bus stand to create an awareness on Plastic waste management among the public. The rally was jointly inaugurated by the Principals of CN College, Erode and Vellalar College for women, Erode. 400 NCC cadets and 10 associate NCC officers has been participated and created awareness on Plastic waste management among in and around the Erode area.

  • KASC NCC unit and all other units of 15 (TN) BN NCC have jointly conducted the International Yoga Day celebration on 21.06.2018 at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai. The Principal of Kongu Engineering, 450 NCC Cadets and 10 NCC officers from various institutions has been participated in the programme.
  • KASC NCC unit have arranged the Seminar on "drug abuse and illicit trafficking" for our college students and NCC cadets to create awareness on prevention of drug abuse on 26.06.2018. Brief lecture about prevention of drug was given by Lt Col S Murugesan administrative officer of our college, 52 cadets took part in the seminar.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted a awareness programme on National Cadet Corps for the first year students at our college premises on 06.07.2018. Associate NCC officer and administrative officer Lt.Col.S. Murugesan was given the motivation on benefits of National Cadet Corps to our students.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Statues Cleaning activity at Erode with sub units of 15 (TN) BN NCC Erode. During the activity the Gandhi statue was cleaned which is located at karungalpalayam joined with erode municipality on 20.09.2018. 52 NCC cadets and 02 Associate NCC officers of 15 (TN) BN NCC Erode took part in the activity.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Temple Cleaning activity at Erode with sub units of 15 (TN) BN NCC Erode. We have cleaned the in and around the Maariyaman temple which is located in karungalpalayam on 20.09.2018. 52 NCC cadets and 02 Associate NCC officers of 15 (TN) BN NCC Erode took part in the activity.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Rifle Workshop for our NCC Cadets at our college premises on 29.09.2018. PI staff of 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode has taken the stripling and assembling the rifle class for our cadets. 52 NCC cadets have been attending the class for their certificate examinations.

Col Henery Robert the Commanding Officer 15 TN BN NCC Erode has inaugurated the rally. 150 NCC Cadets and 2 Associate NCC officers from various institution has took part in the rally and creating awareness on clean India among the public.

Dr.N.Raman the Principal of Kongu Arts and Science College(Autonomous), Erode has inaugurated the rally, 150 NCC cadets has been participated in the rally and create an awareness on road safety among the public in erode down area.
  • Republic Day Celebration was conducted by our National Cadet Corps at our college premise on 26.01.2019. Thiru C.Kumarasamy Patron member of KVIT Trust, Perunduarai has hoisted the National Flag and distribute the prizes to the competition winners.

Lt Col Sanil dhamodharan the Commanding Officer and the Principal of KEC has jointly inagurated the programme. 250 NCC cadets, 7 NCC officers from various institution has been participated in the event and did yoga.

Dr.K.Sengottuvelan the Correspondent Kongu National Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Thiru A.K.Ilango the Correspondent Kongu Arts and Science College jointly inaugurate the tree plantation programme and totally we plant 30 saplings by our NCC cadets.

  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the Dengue Awareness rally on 26.09.2017 from our college to Mettukadai to create awareness on prevention of Dengue among the Veppampalayam area peoples. Dr.N.Raman the Principal Kongu Arts and Science College and the Inspector of Police in Taluk Police station, Erode has jointly inaugurated the rally and 52 NCC Cadets and B.Sc (CSHM) students were participated in the awareness rally.
  • KASC NCC unit was conducted the cleaning activity at Birds Sanctuary Vellode on 26.09.2017 to clean the birds sanctuary. 52 NCC Cadets and B.Sc (CSHM) students were participated in the clean drive and we have disposed the plastics and wastage things from the sanctuary.
