The World Environment Day – Pledge and Tree Plantation event was conducted on 05.06.2024 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. The event aimed to create awareness about environmental conservation and to encourage sustainable practices among students. The program was graced by Dr. H. Vasudevan, Principal of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, who served as the Chief Guest. During the event, participants took a pledge to protect and preserve the environment, followed by a tree plantation drive within the college campus. A total of 22 cadets actively participated in the program, contributing to the institution’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare.
The International Yoga Day Celebration, organized in association with the 15 (TN) Battalion, NCC Erode, was held on 21.06.2024 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and the importance of yoga as a holistic practice for a healthy lifestyle. The celebration was graced by Dr. H. Vasudevan, Principal of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, and Ms. V. Srinidhi, renowned Yoga Master from Erode, who served as the Chief Guests. The session included yoga demonstrations, guided practice, and discussions on the benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life. A total of 326 cadets from various schools and colleges across Erode enthusiastically participated, making the event a grand success and reinforcing the spirit of discipline, health, and harmony among the youth.

The Anti-Drug Awareness Rally, organized in association with the Department of Computer Science (UG) and NSS, was held on 09.08.2024 at Nasiyanur. The event aimed to spread awareness among the public about the ill effects of drug abuse and to encourage a drug-free society. The rally was inaugurated by Dr. H. Vasudevan, Principal of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, who served as the Chief Guest. As part of the event, participants actively engaged in a rally and pamphlet distribution, educating the local community about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle free from drugs. A total of 52 cadets, 500 students, and 10 staff members participated enthusiastically, making the program a successful and impactful awareness initiative.

The Independence Day Celebration was held on 15.08.2024 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, to commemorate India’s 78th Independence Day with great pride and patriotism. The event was graced by Dr. R. Kumarasamy, President of KVIT Trust, who served as the Chief Guest. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the singing of the national anthem, instilling a sense of unity and national pride among all present. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of freedom and the responsibilities of citizens in nation-building. The event also included a prize distribution ceremony to honor the winners of various competitions conducted in connection with Independence Day. A total of 52 NCC cadets, along with 300 members including teaching and non-teaching staff and students, actively participated, making the celebration a memorable and patriotic occasion.
The Fire Fighting and Rescue Operation program organized by KASC NCC Unit in association with the Rotaract and Youth Red Cross was held on 21.08.2024 at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. The event aimed to create awareness and impart practical knowledge on fire safety, disaster management, and emergency response techniques. The session was conducted by the Fire Service Station team and the Disaster and Risk Reduction Management team, Erode, who served as the Chief Guests. Demonstrations on fire control measures, rescue operations, and safety precautions were carried out for the benefit of the participants. The program was attended by 52 NCC cadets, 500 students, and 20 non-teaching staff of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode. The event provided valuable hands-on experience, enhancing the participants’ preparedness and response skills in case of emergencies.

As part of the event, participants actively engaged in a rally and pamphlet distribution, educating the local community about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle free from drugs. A total of 360 NCC Cadets, from various colleges participated enthusiastically, making the program a successful and impactful awareness initiative.
The Road Safety Awareness Rally, organized by KASC NCC Unit in association with the Road Safety Club, was held on 22.11.2024 at from Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode to Thindal. The event aimed to educate the public on the importance of road safety, traffic rules, and responsible driving practices. The rally was flagged off by Dr. H. Vasudevan, Principal of Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, along with the Traffic Police Department, Erode, who served as the Chief Guests. The rally covered an approximate distance of 5 kilometers, starting from Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode and proceeding towards Thindal, spreading awareness through placards and slogans. A total of 52 NCC cadets actively participated in the event, promoting the message of safe and disciplined road usage among the community.
