About

Learning Development Cell of Kongu Arts and Science College aims to provide a platform to the students to discover and develop their unique skills and talents. It stimulates self-learning process within the students by making them to utilize digital learning resources. The LDC promotes online courses of SWAYAM which is initiated by Government of India and the department coordinators of the cell monitors and mentoring the students regarding the online course activities.

  • The Learning Development Cell of KASC was organized the Awareness programme on “Swayam Online Courses” for the faculty executive members of learning development cell on 11.12.2023. Around 20 faculty members were beneficiaries of this programme. The awareness programme was conducted by Dr. G. Karthikeyan, Coordinator of LDC, Assistant Professor in Biochemistry, Kongu Arts and Science College, Erode. Through this programme, the faculty members are got an idea about the importance, enrolment and registration procedures of Swayam Online courses.
  • The Learning Development Cell of KASC was organized the Orientation Programme on “Swayam Online Courses” – Enrolment and Registration for all the UG and PG Students of KASC on 13.12.2023. This programme was conducted by the faculty executive members of LDC to respective departments. Around 3000 students were benefitted from this programme. Through this programme, the students knew the enrolment and registration procedures of Swayam Online courses. Students may know the following fundamentals Swayam online courses

  • The Learning Development Cell of KASC was organized the Student Centric Activity - “Hands-on Training in Electrophoretic Techniques” for III B.Sc Biochemistry Students on 15.12.2023. This Hands-on Training was conducted by the student ambassadors of LDC – B. Hariharan, B. Tharun, V. Dharani and M.K.S. Rahini studying I M.Sc Biotechnology. The 24 Students were benefitted from this programme. The students are very well trained in the following parameters through this programme
    1. Normality and Molarity Calculations
    2. Preparation of Buffer solutions
    3. Isolation of DNA from Plant cell
    4. Agarose gel electrophoresis
  • The Student Centric Activity on “Innovative Startup Ideas and Opportunities” was organized by Department of Computer Applications in association with Learning Development Cell, Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) on 09.01.2024 for I BCA & I B.Sc Computer Science and Applications students. The presentation was handled by Mr. C. Manojkumar, III BBA, Kongu Arts and Science College. The intent of this activity is to give the idea about innovation and developing new technologies, business models, or ways of delivering value to customers and also students can begin to identify opportunities to innovate in their own businesses and set themselves up for success.
  • The Student Centric Activity on “Hardware Essentials: A Primer for Computer Literacy”was organized by Learning Development Cell in association with Department of Business Administration, Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) on 09.01.2024 for the first year BBA students. The technical session was handled by Mr.S.Banuprasath and Mr. K. S. Manikandan, Kongu Arts and Science College. The intent of this activity is to give the idea about Essentials of hardware, educate about physical parts of computer, about system software and application software also students gain knowledge about components of hardware.
  • The Webinar on “Effect of NEP on Youth Empowerment and Sports Development” was organised for college students and staff members through Video conferencing on 12thAugust 2021 and Dr. S. ALAGESAN, Former Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education, Coimbatore acted as the resource person and 500 members were participated.
  • The Logo Creation Competition was organised exclusively for our college students for celebrating the Indian Independence 75th year (Azadika Amrit Mahotsav) from 13.08.2021 to 14.08.2021. Around 46 students created the logo from their own ideas and uploaded in google forms . Out of these, the best logo were selected and it was designed by Ms.B.Pavithra, III BBA CA and Enhanced by Mr.Kulandaisamy, MCA Alumni.
  • The International Online Quiz on “Freedom Fighters of India” was organised from 15.08.2021 to 24.08.2021 and 2358 worldwide participants are attended the quiz.
  • The International Online Quiz on “History of Vaccination” was organised from 20.08.2021 to 31.08.2021 and 1228 worldwide participants are attended the quiz.
  • The Logo Creation Competition for Learning Development Cell (LDC) Association activities was organised exclusively for our college students from 22.08.2021 to 23.08.2021. Around 47 studentswere created the logo from their own ideas and uploaded in given google forms . Out of these, the Best logo is selected which isdesigned by Mr.R.SANJAI (19UCOT042), III - B.Sc Computer Technology.
  • The Learning Development Cellencouraged the students and public to participating in the programme of AI for All - Empowering Citizens to become Digitally Ready - Conducted as 2 phases from 04.09.2021 and collected their certificates through Google forms
  • An Inauguration cum Webinar Programme on “Use of Technology in Education” was conducted through Video Conferencing (Zoom Platform) on 29.09.2021, Dr. G.BEENA, Controller of Examination, REVA University, Karnatakaas the resource person and 200 members attended the programme
  • The Webinar Programme on “Cyber Security: A Real World Perspective” in association with Department of Computer Science was organised for UG Computer Science students on 29.09.2021 through Video Conferencing (Zoom Platform) and Mr.Praveen Thirumurugan, Software Development Engineer, Caterpillar Incorporation, Chennai served as a resource person.
  • A DBT Sponsored Academy Industry Interface Programme on “Cyber Security – Information Security: Trends and Predictions” in association withDepartment of Computer Science (UG) was organised for II & III UG Computer Science students on 06.10.2021 through Video Conferencing (Zoom Platform) and Mr. Chandra PrakashSankar, Founder and CEO, Hackers Infotech, Tirupur served as a resource person.
  • The Webinar Programme on “Cyber Law and Security’’was organised for our college students and staff members is association with District Legal Services Authority, Erode through Video conferencing (Zoom Platform) on 07th October 2021 and Thiru. K. Gopinath M.Com., B.L., Secretary/Senior Civil Judge, District Legal Services Authority, Erode acted as the resource personand 450 members were participated.
  • An orientation programme on “Unleashing the Talents of Students” was conducted on 30.11.2021 @ KASC Open Auditorium, Dr. J. GHAYATHRI, Associate Professor in CS (PG), Coordinator of LDC, KASC served as Key Speaker and 125 students (LDC Ambasstors) were participated.
  • An awareness program was conducted about SWAYAM ONLINE COURSES among All the First UG & PG students of KASC on 02.12.2021 at UVS Hall and Dr. J. GHAYATHRI, Associate Professor in CS (PG), Coordinator of LDC, KASC given an clear cut ideas to the students for enrolling, registering and completing the Swayam Online Courses.
  • The Learning Development Cell collected and submitted the Fee Waivers details on 16.12.2021 to NPTEL organization for NPTEL Scholarship and around 34 Students were included in this category from our college.
  • The Swayam NPTEL organization conducted the Online Soft Skill Training Programme (Batch-I) from 20.12.2021 to 29.12.2021 for NPTEL Online Course completed students through Video Conferencing (Google Meet). The Learning Development Cellorganized the programme. In this, Batch-I & II 100students of various departments were participated and benefitted.
  • The Content Creation Contest on “MY RIVER (or) 5G IN INDIA”was organised exclusively for KASC Students from 01.03.2022 to 13.03.2022. Around 46 students are uploaded their own contents in the given google forms and among them, 23 students were selected for finals. The final presentation was conducted on 15.03.2022 at Ramanujan Hall in the presence of Judges Dr.V.G.SUMATHY, Associatet Professor, Department of Management Science, Dr.M.JAYANTHI, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Ms.C.KIRUTHICA, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, KASC, Erode. As per the judgement, Top 5 best content presented students were appreciated with Cash Prizesand Certificates.

  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Vaimaiyal Vaanam Vasapadum (Motivational Speech) on 09th March, 2022 and the event carried out by Mr. V. THARANESH, II MBA Student. Students from various departments actively participated and 113 students attended this programme.
  • The Learning Development Cell was organised Student Centric Activity on Yoga for Healthy Life on 10th March, 2022 by Mr. N KAVINRAJ, II MBA Student. Students from various departments had actively participated and performed the asana, around 115 students had attended the programme.
  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Paper Craft as on 11th March, 2022 by Ms. K.LEKITHA , I BBA (CA) Student. The workshop was valuable of the students was also enhanced. Beneficiaries: 97 Students
  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Affiliate Marketing as on 14th March, 2022 by Mr. CHANDRU S S, I BBA (CA) Student. The session was highly benefited and helps to become a successful affiliate marketer. Around 151 students are benefited from this programme.
  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Vazhakkadu Mandram as on 15th March, 2022 by Mr.C.Mathan kumar , I BA (TAMIL). Around 191 students are benefited from this programme.

  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Importance of Soft Skills on 19th April, 2022 by Mr. S. OM PRAKASH, II MBA Student. Students from various departments had actively participated and performed the same around 109 students had attended the programme.
  • The Learning Development Cell was organized Student Centric Activity on Techniques in Speaking on 20th April, 2022 by Ms. D. DHARANI, II MBA Student. Students from various departments had actively participated and performed the same around 84 students had attended the programme
  • The Learning Development Cell was organised another 7 interesting “STUDENTS CENTRIC ACTIVITIES” on 08.03.2022, 29.03.2022, 31.03.2022, 04.04.2022, 11.04.2022, 12.04.2022 & 13.04.2022 at KASC Open Auditorium. These activities were organised and carryovered by Our College Students. The students shared their knowledge with the student participants. Around 150 students have Participated per day.
