Fine Arts Club

Fine Arts Club was established in our college in 1994.

Objectives

  • The main objective of Fine Arts Club is to bring out the inner talents of the students.
  • It paves a platform to the students to exhibit their talents like Dancing, Playing Musical Instruments, Singing, Enacting Skits, Speaking skills, Writing Skills, Poetic skills, Sketching, Drawing, Mimicry, Wealth out of waste, GK, Quiz etc.
  • Members of the Club are encouraged to take active participation in inter-collegiate, intra-collegiate events, workshops etc.,

  • Talent Hunt was organized for the first U.G students of our College by providing a forum to the budding achievers to nurture their hidden talents at U.V Swaminatha Iyer Arangam on 20.07.2024. around 250 students have participated and exhibited their talents.
  • Fine Arts Club and Department of Costume Design and Fashion with Kovai Makkal Sevai Maiyam and Dream Zone organized a Handloom Fashion Show in accordance with National Handloom Day to give an influence to the handloom sector & to motivate the students to use more handloom products in their day-to-day life on 26.07.2024(FN).
  • Our Fine Arts Club members welcomed their juniors by performing a Flash Mob 26.07.2024 at 4.10 PM.

  • Fine Arts Club of our college has organized Tamil, English Oratorical and Wealth out waste Competitions for our college students on 03.01.2024. Fine Arts Club members from various departments have actively participated in this event and won prizes.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – 2024, an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 24.01.2024at the Open Auditorium to create opportunities to experience, celebrate and explore the diversity of the culture through music and arts. Around 300 students have participated and exhibited their skills. In this fest, Department of Computer Science (UG) Won the winner Trophy and the runner trophy was bagged by the Department of Social Works.
  • A training programme on tips in making a short film was conducted on 17.02.2024 at Room No: MB-316 with 40 participants. The session was handled by Mr. Sundar G K, Assistant Director, Chennai.
  • Solo Song and Group Dance competitions were conducted for the members on 27.02.2024 (AN) at Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall.
  • In Collaboration with Radio Merchi, Fine Arts Club organized “Mirchi Kaloori Stars 2024" on 29.02.2024 at Ramanujam Hall. Around 300 students have participated and exhibited their talents and won prizes.
  • During NAAC Peer Team visit, members of our Fine Arts Club have performed a mega Cultural Event on 17.08.2023 and 22.11.2023.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 08.03.2024 (FN) at U.V.Swaminatha Iyer Arangam to honor the achievements of students who have won at various intercollegiate events. Further, Memento (Laptop Bag) were distributed as part of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day. Thiru. A,Venkatachalam, Correspondent, KPC, KPITI & KNYMC, Perundurai presided the function and our alumni’s Mr. C.Madhan Mohan, Chief Financial Officer, JS Auto Cast Foundry Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore and Ms.N.Shoban, Industrial Cooperative Officer, Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai delivered the chief guest address. Staff members and student achievers were awarded with cash prizes and memento for their achievements during the academic year 2023-2024.
  • Our students have actively participated in various inter collegiate meets around the state and in total, 245 students have won prizes in various events including 09 Overall trophies and cash prize of Rs.1,28,180 and brought laurels to our Institution during the academic year 2023- 2024.

  • In connection with World Students’ Day Fine Arts Club of our college has organized Oratorical Tamil and English and Drawing Competitions for our college students on 14.10.2022. Fine Arts Club members from various departments actively participated in this event.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – 2023, an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 25.01.2023 at the Open Auditorium to create opportunities to experience, celebrate and explore the diversity of the culture through music and arts. Around 300 students have participated and exhibited their skills. In this fest, Department of Mathematics Won the winner Trophy and the runner trophy was bagged by the Department of Social Works.
  • National Level Cultural Fest – Kongu Utsav – 20K3, an Inter Collegiate Completion was organized on 24.03.2023. 500 Students from 53 Colleges have actively participated in this event. Overall Championship trophy was won by Lody Dock College, Madurai. Guest of honor for the programme was Mr.Mohamed Kurashi, a standup comedian in Vijay television.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 21.04.2023 (FN) at U.V.Swaminatha Iyer Arangam to honor the achievements of students who have won at various intercollegiate events. Further, Memento (Laptop Bag) were distributed as part of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day. Thiru. Thiru. P.Sachithanandan, Patron Member, KVIT Trust presided the function and Thiru. RG. NAWIN KRISHNA, Serial Entrepreneur, Founder – Startup Payanam Entrepreneur Community delivered the chief guest address. Staff members and student achievers were awarded with cash prizes and memento for their achievements during the academic year 2022-2023.
  • Our students have actively participated in various inter collegiate meets around the state and in total, 173 students have won prizes in various events including 4 Overall trophies and cash prize of Rs. 74,250 and brought laurels to our Institution during the academic year 2022- 2023.

  • Online Talent Hunt was organized for I & II (UG & PG) students of our College by providing a forum to the budding achievers to nurture their hidden talents from form 25.10.2021 to 03.11.2021. Fine Arts Club members from various departments actively participated in this event.
  • In order to create awareness, Fine Arts Club in association with Rotary Club of our college performed a skit on "Prevention of Tobacco" on 10.03.2022 in our college premises.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 08.4.2022 at the Open Auditorium to create opportunities to experience, celebrate and explore the diversity of the culture through music and arts. Around 300 students have participated and exhibited their skills. In this fest, Department of Mathematics Won the winner Trophy and runner trophy was bagged by the Department of Costume Design and Fashion.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 25.05.2022 (FN) at U.V.Swaminatha Iyer Arangam to honor the achievements of students who have won at various intercollegiate events. Further, files were distributed as part of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day. Thiru. V.R.Sivasubramanian, Patron Member, KVIT Trust presided the function and Mr. V.P.Ponnuswamy, HR Professional, Trustee of Ooruni Foundation, Chennai delivered the chief guest address. Staff members and student achievers were awarded with cash prizes and memento for their achievements during the academic year 2021-2022.

  • An online Art and Craft Quiz for Fine Arts Club members was conducted from 22.07.2020 to 28.07.2020. In this, 250 members were actively participated.

  • Talent Hunt was organized for the first U.G students of our College by providing a forum to the budding achievers to nurture their hidden talents at U.V Swaminatha Iyer Arangam on 07.08.2019.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 25.01.2020 at the Open Auditorium to create opportunities to experience, celebrate and explore the diversity of the culture through music and arts.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 28.02.2020 (FN) at the Open Auditorium to honor the achievements of students who have won at various intercollegiate events. Further, files were distributed as part of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day.
  • In total, 242 students have won prizes in various events including 14 Overall trophies and cash prize of Rs. 1,91,500 and brought laurels to our Institution during the academic year 2019 – 2020.

  • Talent Hunt 2018 was conducted for all the first U.G and P.G students of our College by providing a forum to the budding achievers to nurture their hidden talents at U.V Swaminatha Iyer Arangam on 12.07.18.
  • On behalf of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, an Inter Collegiate Cultural Meet was organized on 24.01.2019 and this fest provided a bigger platform for fostering friendly relations among other college students.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 25.01.2019 at the Open Auditorium to create opportunities to experience, celebrate and explore the diversity of the culture through music and arts.
  • Ten of our students participated in the "Pallaankuzhi Programme" organized by Hello FM 92.7 in accordance with the Republic Day celebrations.
  • An "Art Expo" was organized along with Photography Club on 27.02.2019 for encouraging the importance of art and photographic skills among the students.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 01.03.2019 (FN) at the Open Auditorium to honour the achievements of our faculty members and students who have won at various intercollegiate events. Further, files were distributed as part of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day.

  • Talent Hunt 2017 was conducted for all the first U.G and P.G students of our College with the motive behind of providing a platform to the budding achievers to come and portray their hidden talents at U.V Swaminatha Iyer Arangam on 01.07.17.
  • Our College students participated in Dheeran Chinnamalai Memorial Day Celebrations at Odanilai organized by Tamil Nadu Government – Headed by Erode Collectorate on 03.08.2017.
  • State Level Cultural Selection was made by Radio Mirchi for our College Students in our Campus on 28.08.2017 at U.V Swaminatha Iyer Arangam and best two teams were selected for the next level.
  • Kongu Cultural Fest – an Intra Collegiate Event at the department level was organized on 25.01.2018 at the Open Auditorium to provide a myriad of opportunities and forum for the students to explore their boundaries and expand the horizons.
  • Painting Exhibition on "The Beauty of Earth and its Current Situation" by Artist Mr.Tamilarasan was arranged on 08.02.2018 at CDF- Fashion Designing Lab.
  • Achievers' Day was celebrated along with Placement Cell on 02.03.2018 (FN) at the Open Auditorium to honour the achievements of our students who have won at various Intercollegiate events. Further, files were distributed in lieu of bidding a farewell to all the outgoing U.G and P.G students on the same day.
