About the Department

Department of Business Administration was bifurcated from the Department of Business Administration with Computer Applications in 2012. The Department holds a decade of remarkable excellence. Courses in the program are designed and updated in such a way that mould graduates to manage business in the Marketing, Human Resource, Banking, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain & other areas of both Manufacturing and Service industries. Our department kindles students’ aspiration for entrepreneurship and guides them to shine as successful entrepreneurs in life.

The department arranges guest lectures, workshops and seminars regularly to enrich students’ knowledge in various fields. The department organizes "MANOPOLY", state level management meet continually and invites students from 150 colleges in Tamilnadu. The department conducts an Alumni meet "Remembrance", a pleasant nostalgic occasion periodically. The department grooms students’ intellectual calibre by guiding and encouraging them to present papers in state and national level seminars, conferences etc.,

    • Our Department had organized Exhibition come sales for the BBA students on 30.08.2024. Mr.K.P.Karthikeyan, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering. Dr.K.M.Kumaraguru Head and Associate Professor, Department of Commerce was the chief guest.
    • Our Department had organized Industrial visit to KG Fabrics, Sipcot on 31.08.2024 for II BBA A & B students in order to inculcate the practical knowledge to the students.
    • Anti Drug Committee in association with the Department of Business Administration organized Human Chain Activity. The NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC and Anti drug committee members and students of the Department of Business Administration participated in the human chain activity, Form a Chain, Break the Drug Addiction at Erode District Collector Office on 26.09.2024. The activity was inaugurated by the Erode Town Police Station Inspector. Around 80 students actively participated in this activity

    • Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to Mysore Milk Union Limited, Mysore from 26.08.2018 to 27.08.2018 for II & III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
    • Department of Business Administration and Business Administration with Computer Aplications have Organized a State Level Inter Collegiate Meet "MANOPOLY 2K18" on 28.9.2018 inaugurated by Mr.Kumaravel,Management Representative,Master Linens Inc,Karur. In this event 300 participants from 30 colleges have participated. 8 events were conducted through this programme and cash prize worth Rs.40, 000/- were awarded to the winner's. The Chief Guest of the Valedictory programme was Thiru.E.R.K.Krishnan, Treasurer,Patron member, The Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust.
    • Our Department had organized the following Guest lectures for the benefit of the students:
      1. a) Guest lecture program upon the topic of "Research Methods for Management" by Dr.Priya was organized to our III BBA students on 5.09.2018.
      2. b) Guest Lecture upon the topic "Goods and Service Tax" was organized for I, II and III BBA Students on 24.01.2018 by Sumit Kedia, Practitioner, CA, Chennai.
    • Our students have presented nearly 50 papers in various seminars and conferences.
    • Our Head of the Department Mr.K.P.Karthikeyan has completed NET in June 2018, our faculty member Ms.M.Thangam has successfully completed her Doctorate by July 2018 and our faculty member Ms. S.Deepa has cracked down her SET by Sep 2017.
    • Our students have won II prize in Quiz competition organized by EBIT on 6 Feb 2019.
    • Our II BBA students have won II place in the competition Hackthon Problems organized at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women on 8 Feb 2019.

    • Our department Association "GERENCIA" was inaugurated by Dr.A.G.V.Narayanan. Dean, Department of Management studies, EBET Group of institutions Kanga yam, and he delivered a guest Lecture upon the topic "Consumer Behaviour "on 04.07.2017.
    • Our department had conducted Orientation Program for I - BBA students from 05.7.2017 to 06.7.2017. The resource person for the program was Mr. Raja from Helix HR Training & Business Consultant centre, Erode.
    • Our Department had organized book exhibition visit to our I BBA students on 9.08.2017 organized by Makkal Sindhanai Peravai, Erode.
    • Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to Anna Aluminum Company, Kerala from 10.08.2017 to 13.08.2017 for II & III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
    • Our Department had organized a Industrial Visit to our I BBA students to Aavin Dairy, Chittode on 09.02.2018.
    • Our Department had organized the following Guest lecturers for the benefit of the students:
      1. a) Guest lecture program upon the topic of" Banking Law and Practices" to our II BBA students by Mr. Arul Velan T.Financial Consultant, Coimbatore on 23.01.2018.
      2. b) Guest Lecture upon the topic "Productivity Theory and Pricing" in Economics Subject for I BBA Students on 24.01.2018 by Dr.C.A.Paari, Professor, Department of Economics, Erode Arts and Science College, Erode.
    • Department of Business Administration and Business Administration with Computer Aplications conducted a State Level Workshop on "Textile Merchandising" on 23.02.2018. The Resource persons of this workshop will be Mr.S.Sundarajan, Harivarada Garment, Chandrapuram, Tiruppur and Jc Du.Velumani, Managing Director : C.A.Textile Lab-Erode/Tiruppur. In this workshop 200 participants from 30 colleges will participate.
    • Our student P.Karthika of II BBA has won the second prize in business plan event of FACHMANN 2K18 a national level management meet held on 2nd February 2018 conducted by KSR College of Engineering.
    • Our student R.Arun of II BBA has attended functional textiles and clothing conference from 9-11 February 2018 at FTC 2018 held at IIT Delhi.
    • Our students Y.Sasikumar and T.N.Varsan of II BBA has won the second prize in business Quiz event of FROLICS 2018on 16th February 2018 conducted by Knowledge Business School,Salem.
    • Our students S.Sharukkhan of III BBA has won the First Place in Photography event in AVENTURO 2K17 a national level technical symposium held on 7.3.2017 conducted by Kongu Engineering College.
