    Eligibility

    Candidate for admission to the first year of the UG degree course shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination (Academic or Vocational) conducted by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu or other examinations accepted as equivalent there to by the Syndicate, subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed therefor.

    • Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management organized a Webinar on the topic "Developing Skill for Successful job Career" on 11.10.2021 and Prof. Srihari S, Associate Professor, Department of Catering Science & Hotel Management, Sri Ramakrishna College Of Arts and Science , Coimbatore was the Resource Person.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management organized a Guest Lecture on International Chef Day on the topic Challenges and Opportunities for Hoteliers on 20.10.2021, Chef Karthik Kumar.S , Chief Cook, Omicron Marine Pvt Ltd, Chennai was the Resource Person.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a program on Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony-Mixing and soaking Ceremony 07.12.2021 and Cake Preparation on 22.12.2021
    • Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management and Biotechnology jointly organized a Workshop on "Food Packaging: Quality Control and Safety Considerations" on 24.02.2022 and Chef. Sathish Chandrasekaran, Executive Chef, CAG Pride, Coimbatore was the Resource Person.
    • Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management organized an Extension Activity "Healthy Eating" to the school students in Government School, Rangampalayan on 12.04.2022 students benefited with stationery items.
    • Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a Workshop on "Mughlai Cooking" on 21.04.2022 Chef. Suresh Raj Kumar, Head Butcher, Viking Cruise Lines was the Resource Person.

    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management and Biotechnology jointly organized a one day Workshop on "FOOD PRESERVATION TECHNIQUES" on 10.03.2021.The workshop was conduct by Ms.Thamaraiselvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Processing , PSG Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management, BBA(CA) and Management Science (PG) jointly organized a 5 days Faculty Development Programme on Enriching Learning Practices in the dynamic Environment From 05.07.2021 To 09.07.2021

    • The Department released the Annual Magazine "KONGU FLAVOURS" on 16.07.2019.
    • The department conducted a Guest Lecture on "ROOM DIVISION MANAGEMENT" on 20.8.2019. The session was conducted by Ms. Rekha Williams, Assoiate Professor Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management , RVS College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a Workshop on "HALWAI KITCHEN" on 27.01.2020. The workshop was conduct by Chef Packiaraj. C, ITC Fortune Park, Bangalore.
    • The department organized an Factory visit to "PODARAN FOODS" Kangeyam on 30.01.2020.
    • The department conducted an Inter Department Competitions "KAPSIMO"-2020 on 25.02.2020 and 26.02.2020. The following competitions are conducted.
      1. Young Chef (Cookery)
      2. Best Artist (Flower Arrangement)
      3. Saladier (Salad Making)

    • The Department released the Annual Magazine "KONGU FLAVOURS" on 12 July 2018.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a Workshop on "PAN ASIAN CUISINE".... Lets Cook on 17.12.2018. The workshop was conduct by Chef Hariprasad, Chef De Cuisine, The Concord Hotel Nairobi, Kenya.
    • The department conducted a Guest Lecture on "BEVERAGE - A Thirst for Knowledge" on 03.01.2019. The session was conducted by Mr. Premkumar, Operation duty manager, INOX Prozone Mall, Coimbatore.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a National Level Symposium on "RECENT TRENDS IN ACCOMODATION INDUSTRY on 19.02.2019. The Symposium was conducted by Mr. A. Saravanakumar, Exe Housekeeper, Hotel Aloft, Coimbatore; Mr. Anand Krishnan, Exe Front office , Vivanta Surya, Coimbatore and Mr.P.Anjeeshkumar , Buyer Communicator, Coimbatore.

    • The Department released the Annual Magazine "KONGU FLAVOURS" on 04 July 2017
    • The department organized an Industrial Visit to the Hotel Riveria Suites, Cochin on 13.08.2017 and a field study a regarding Eco Tourism at Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, Parambikulam , Kerala.
    • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management conducted a Workshop in "CHISLER".... the Unique Carver on 08 September 2017. The workshop was conducte by Mrs.Carving C.KARTHICK, Siam Carving Academy, Bangkok, Thailand.
    • On account, of the World Tourism Day Celebrations, the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management Conducted a Social Awareness Rally. Students went to Vellode Birds Sanctuary and underwent the cleaning activities and distributed tree saplings to the Vellode village people on 26 September 2017.
    • The department conducted a Guest Lecture on "ETHICAL FOOD - a phenomenal Stress Relieving Factor for College Students" on 09.01.2018. The session was conducted by Mr.S.DANIEL ROBERT, Asst. Professor Department of Nutrition and Dietics, Dr.NGP Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
    • The department conducted an extension activity "HEALTHY LIVING" for Veppampalayam Government School students on 24.01.2018.
    • The department organized an Factory visit to "AAVIN MILK" Chithode, Erode on 08.02.2018.
    • The department conducted an Inter Department Competitions "KAPSIMO"-2018 on 13.02.2018 and 14.02.2018. The following competitions are conducted.

    • Validiction of "KAPSIMO"-2018 was conducted on 14.02.2018 and the winners were awarded with shields and certificates.
