AID India Kongu Chapter

Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) in collaboration with AID INDIA has launched AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER on 11.10.2018 to enhance the number of volunteers for the WALK and TALK programme initiated by AID INDIA. The aim of WALK and TALK programme is to eradicate the fear of literacy by Educating the Children of Rural and Tribal areas in Tamilnadu.

OBJECTIVES
  • To impart knowledge to the needy in the remote villages.
  • To eradicate illiteracy throughout our state.
  • To uplift the economically backward children through education.
  • To empower the rural youth for nation building.
  • To undertake social service and to be a part of clean india.

  • On 28.09.2019, AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER conducted WORKSHOP in TRICHY district. Our Volunteers conducted Skill Development Programme for 12 staff members and for 40 rural students from various Government Schools around Trichy in DON BOSCO School, Manakkal, Lalgudi, Trichy.
  • On 29.09.2019, AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER conducted EUREKA WALK 'N' TALK PROGRAMME in TANJORE district. Our Volunteers conducted Skill Fest for 30 rural students in SATTHIRAPATTI village.
  • On 02.10.2019, AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER conducted WORKSHOP in GOBICHETTYPALAYAM. Our Volunteers conducted Skill Development Programme for 25 rural students in NANJAIPUDHUKKADU village.
  • In 2018 October month, AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER conducted EUREKA WALK 'N' TALK PROGRAMME in Tirupur district. Our Volunteers conducted Skill Fest for 159 rural students in various villages.
  • On 28.10.2018 Our Aid India Kongu Chapter Volunteers conducted the workshop on COME ON, LET US CONVERSE at Kamaraj Arangam, Kamaraj Nagar, Nambiyur. 30 Students were the beneficiaries of this workshop.
  • In 2018 November month, AID INDIA KONGU CHAPTER conducted EUREKA WALK 'N' TALK PROGRAMME in Coimbatore district. Our Aid India Kongu Chapter volunteers conducted Skill Fest for 30 Students in Tondamuthur village.
  • Aid India Kongu Chapter along with Ahaguru conducted Model NEET and JEE Examinations for 11th and 12th students of various Schools on 20.01.2019.
  • Aid India Kongu Chapter's Extension Activity was executed on 07.03.2019 with 9 Volunteers at Government Primary School, Nanjanapuram, Erode. Thirty students gained an awareness on Social Events and Good Manners.
  • On account of International Women's Day on 08.03.2019, our volunteers contributed books for Library, snacks and stationery items for the students of Government Primary School, Nanjanapuram.
