About the Department
Department of Business Administration was bifurcated from Business Administration with computer application from the year 2011. Business Administration degree program moulds graduates to manage business in the marketing, insurance, banking, accounting, transport, hospitality, distribution & other areas of both Manufacturing and Service industries. Our department encourages and paves way to the students who aspire to be an entrepreneur.

- Our department conducted Faculty development program from 12/07/2021 to 14/07/2021.The resource persons are Mr.S.Balamurali, Assistant professor of BBA, DG Vaishnav college, Chennai, Dr.M.Gurumurthy, Professor and Head and Department of MBA & M.Com Brindavancollege, Bangalore. Mr. T.Somasundaram, Assistant professor of management Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore.
- Our department had organized Student Orientation Programme on "Emerging career opportunities and challenges" for first year BBA and BBA (CA) students on 13.9.2021. The Resource person for the program was Dr.Anish Kunhikannan, Assistant professor of marketing and handling placements, GRD Institute of management, Coimbatore.
- Our department had conducted Guest Lecture (webinar) on "Research Methodology" for the department students on 23.9.2021. The resource person for the program was Dr. C.Paramasivan Ph.D., D.Litt., Assistant Professor, PG & Research Department of Commerce, Periyar E.V.R. College (Govt-owned & Autonomous).Tiruchirappalli-620023.
- Our department had conducted Guest Lecture (webinar) on "Stock Market" for the department students on 1.10.2021. The resource person for the program was Mr. Sri Harsha, MD-Shine Projects, Hyderabad.
- Our department had conducted Personality development Programme on "Motivational talk" for the first year students from 5.10.2021 to 6.10.2021. The trainers for the program were Ms. R.Sasiprabha, Professional Trainer, Counselor and Senior Professor in P.K.R College and Mr. Erode Kathir, Human Resource trainer, Erode.
- Our Department had organized Guest Lecture (Webinar) on "Consumer Behaviour" on 29.10.2021. Dr.R,Prabusankar, Professor, DJ Academy for Managerial Excellence was the resource person.
- Our Department had organized Alumni meet "Remembrance" for student Alumnus on 31.10.2021.
- Our Department along with Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized a workshop upon Working Hands on Stock Market on 02.11.2021. Dr. K.Prabhakaran, Financial Educator SECI, NCDEC, NCFE was the resource person.
- Our department had conducted Guest Lecture on "Exercise and Nutrition in Healthy Ageing" for the department students on 19.11.2021. The resource person for the program was Dr. S.Vijaykumar MBBS,Mrcdp.,ccebdm.,dmepc., Diabetologist in CNS Hospital, Avinashi, Tamilnadu.
- Our department had conducted "Extension Activity" at Koorapalayam Government High School on 20.11.2021. Our department students painted the washroom and donated stationeries to the school students.
- Our department has conducted two days yoga session on Capacity Development Programme on Yoga (A sustainable development of Body, Mind and Soul) on 02.12.2021 and 03.12.2021.The session was handled by Ms.C.Aruna Devi, Yoga Trainer, Ashtanga Yoga Centre,Erode.
- Our department had organized an awareness programme on POCSO Act on 03.12.2021. The session was handled by Ms.P.Bakkiyalakshmi, Advocate, Erode.
- Our department had organized a Seminar on "Investor Awareness Programme for Non- Teaching Staffs" on 06.12.2021. Dr.P.Karthikeyan, Associate Professor, School of Management Studies, Kongu Engineering College was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Guest lecture upon "Management and Policy Challenges in Industry 4.0" on 17.12.2021. Dr.P.Buvaneswari, Professor and Head, Department of Business Administration, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous), Mysuru, Karnataka was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Workshop on topic "Entrepreneurship as a Career Opportunities" on 12.01.2022. Mr.Karthik Nagarajanan and Dr.D.Santhana krishnan were the resource persons.
- Our department had organized a Guest lecture upon "An overview on Strategic Management" on 14.03.2022. Dr.S.Gokul Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Personality Development Programme upon "Soft Skills" on 12.04.2022. Mr.A.P.ChandraKumar , Channel Partner/Director, Global Garner Sales and Service Limited, Gujarat was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Guest lecture upon "Emotional Intelligence in Workplace Environment" on 13.04.2022. Dr.R.Jayanthi Mohan, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a two days workshop upon "Advertising and Promotion Management" on 20.04.2022 & 21.04.2022.Dr.D.David Winster Praveenraj, Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamagalam was the resource person.
- Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to Ripon Tea Factory, Wayanad on 05.05.2022 and 06.05.2022 for III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
- Our department conducted Two days online Faculty development program upon "Basics of Fundamental Analysis in Stock Market" on 07.05.2022 & 08.05.2022.Mr.S.A.P.Narendran, Lights Academy, Erode was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Guest lecture upon "Learn and Earn in Stock Market" on 09.05.2022. Ms.D.Santhiya, Branch Manager, Stockholding corporation of India Limited, Erode Branch was the resource person.
- Our department had organized a Guest lecture upon "Insurance Principles and Practice" on 12.05.2022. Lion.S.Surendran, Member of the Chairman's Club for Agents, Chief Life Insurance Advisor, Erode was the resource person.
- Our department Association "GERENCIA" was inaugurated 07.07.2020 by Dr. G. BARANI, Associate Professor, Bharathiar School of Management and Entrepreneur Development, Coimbatore.
- Our department had conducted Webinar on "Concept development and model building for social science research" for the department students and academicians on 27.5.2020. The resource person for the program was Mr. P.Karthikeyan, Assistant professor, School of Management Studies, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai.
- Our department had conducted Orientation Programme on "Career development for the department first year students on 28.8.2020. The trainers for the program were Mr. P.Karthikeyan, Assistant professor, School of Management Studies, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai and Mr. Erode Kathir, Human Resource trainer, Erode.
- Our department had conducted National level Seminar on "Research methodology" year students on 12.12.2020. The Speaker for the program were Ms. AnbuGeetha, Assistant professor, School of Management Studies, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai and Mr. Erode Kathir, Human Resource trainer, Erode.
- Our department Association "GERENCIA" was inaugurated on 02.07.19 by Mr. S. KOUSHIK SUNDHAR Head, Management Development Centre, DJ Academy of Managerial Excellence, Coimbatore.
- Our department had conducted Orientation Program for I – BBA- A section students on 14.08.19 and for I - BBA – B section students on 04.09.19. The resource person for the program was Mr. Kathir, Erode.
- Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to JK TYRES, MYSORE from 23.08.2019 to 25.08.2019 for II & III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
- Our department had conducted Guest Lecture on "Insurance Principles and Practice" for III – BBA students on 27.01.2020. The resource person for the program was Mr. S. Sudhakar, Erode.
- Our department had conducted Guest Lecture on "Revisiting Economics as a social science" for I – BBA (A&B) section students on 07.02.2020. The resource person for the program was Dr. K. R. Vijayarani, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Sri Vasavi College, Aided Wing, Erode.
- Our Department has planned to organize Personality development program from 24.02.2020 to 26.02.2020 for II & III BBA students.
- Our Department has planned to organize industrial visit to Aland Spinners (pvt) Ltd., Pallipalayam from 17.2.2020 to 18.2.2020 for I BBA A & B students in order to inculcate the practical knowledge to the students
- Our department had conducted Orientation Program for I – BBA- A & B section students on 27.08.18, 28.8.2018 & 4.9.2018. The resource person for the program was Mr. Raja from Helix HR Training & Business Consultant centre, Erode.
- Our department Association "GERENCIA" was inaugurated on 02.08.18 by Mr.RadhaKrishnan, Managing Director, Angel Starch & Food Pvt.Ltd, Erode.
- Our Department had organized Personality Development Programme to our I-BBA A&B students to inculcate the soft skills on 2.8.2018. The resource person for this program was Erode Kathir.
- Our Department had organized book exhibition visit to our I BBA- A & B students on 11.08.2018 organized by Makkal Sindhanai Peravai, Erode.
- Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to Mysore Milk Union Limited, Mysore from 26.08.2018 to 27.08.2018 for II & III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
- Department of Business Administration and Business Administration with Computer Aplications have Organized a State Level Inter Collegiate Meet "MANOPOLY 2K18" on 28.9.2018 inaugurated by Mr.Kumaravel,Management Representative,Master Linens Inc,Karur. In this event 300 participants from 30 colleges have participated. 8 events were conducted through this programme and cash prize worth Rs.40, 000/- were awarded to the winner's. The Chief Guest of the Valedictory programme was Thiru.E.R.K.Krishnan, Treasurer,Patron member, The Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust.
- Our Department had organized the following Guest lectures for the benefit of the students:
- a) Guest lecture program upon the topic of "Research Methods for Management" by Dr.Priya was organized to our III BBA students on 5.09.2018.
- b) Guest Lecture upon the topic "Goods and Service Tax" was organized for I, II and III BBA Students on 24.01.2018 by Sumit Kedia, Practitioner, CA, Chennai.
- Our students have presented nearly 50 papers in various seminars and conferences.
- Our Head of the Department Mr.K.P.Karthikeyan has completed NET in June 2018, our faculty member Ms.M.Thangam has successfully completed her Doctorate by July 2018 and our faculty member Ms. S.Deepa has cracked down her SET by Sep 2017.
- Our students have won II prize in Quiz competition organized by EBIT on 6 Feb 2019.
- Our II BBA students have won II place in the competition Hackthon Problems organized at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women on 8 Feb 2019.
- Our department Association "GERENCIA" was inaugurated by Dr.A.G.V.Narayanan. Dean, Department of Management studies, EBET Group of institutions Kanga yam, and he delivered a guest Lecture upon the topic "Consumer Behaviour "on 04.07.2017.
- Our department had conducted Orientation Program for I - BBA students from 05.7.2017 to 06.7.2017. The resource person for the program was Mr. Raja from Helix HR Training & Business Consultant centre, Erode.
- Our Department had organized book exhibition visit to our I BBA students on 9.08.2017 organized by Makkal Sindhanai Peravai, Erode.
- Our Department had organized Industrial Visit to Anna Aluminum Company, Kerala from 10.08.2017 to 13.08.2017 for II & III BBA students in order to supplement their practical knowledge.
- Our Department had organized a Industrial Visit to our I BBA students to Aavin Dairy, Chittode on 09.02.2018.
- Our Department had organized the following Guest lecturers for the benefit of the students:
- a) Guest lecture program upon the topic of" Banking Law and Practices" to our II BBA students by Mr. Arul Velan T.Financial Consultant, Coimbatore on 23.01.2018.
- b) Guest Lecture upon the topic "Productivity Theory and Pricing" in Economics Subject for I BBA Students on 24.01.2018 by Dr.C.A.Paari, Professor, Department of Economics, Erode Arts and Science College, Erode.
- Department of Business Administration and Business Administration with Computer Aplications conducted a State Level Workshop on "Textile Merchandising" on 23.02.2018. The Resource persons of this workshop will be Mr.S.Sundarajan, Harivarada Garment, Chandrapuram, Tiruppur and Jc Du.Velumani, Managing Director : C.A.Textile Lab-Erode/Tiruppur. In this workshop 200 participants from 30 colleges will participate.
- Our student P.Karthika of II BBA has won the second prize in business plan event of FACHMANN 2K18 a national level management meet held on 2nd February 2018 conducted by KSR College of Engineering.
- Our student R.Arun of II BBA has attended functional textiles and clothing conference from 9-11 February 2018 at FTC 2018 held at IIT Delhi.
- Our students Y.Sasikumar and T.N.Varsan of II BBA has won the second prize in business Quiz event of FROLICS 2018on 16th February 2018 conducted by Knowledge Business School,Salem.
- Our students S.Sharukkhan of III BBA has won the First Place in Photography event in AVENTURO 2K17 a national level technical symposium held on 7.3.2017 conducted by Kongu Engineering College.
